MIKOTAHI

Mikotahi is a world-class pilot and offshore support vessel.  The vessel is self-righting and will regularly travel far beyond Taranaki’s breakwater into the open ocean.

Completed in 2014 by Q-West Boat Builders for Port Taranaki Ltd, the vessel was designed by Camarc Design Ltd as a pilot vessel. This is the second vessel Q-West have built for this client.

PAORAE – AIRPORT MARINE CONTROL

Airport Marine Control – Paorae – was built in 2014 for Auckland International Airport. The vessel was designed by Teknicraft Design Ltd as a seach and rescue catamaran. The vessel has a fire monitor on the bow and will be used as the mobile control station for co-ordinating rescue events in the waters surrounding Auckland Airport. This is the first vessel built for this client.

ONOUA

Onoua is a landing barge built in 2013 for the Chatham Islands Enterprise Trust .  The barge is designed to transfer export livestock and freight from Pitt Island to a freighter coming in from New Zealand.

T R HEALY

Construction from marine grade aluminium, this split hopper barge is designed to carry mud, sand, sea spoil and general cartage from marinas around the Upper North Island of New Zealand.

At 40.2metres in length, T R Healy is the largest vessel Q-West have built to date.

This is the sixth boat that Q-West have built for this client, which is testament to the quality of vessels Q-West build.

MYSTIQUE II

Mystique II was built in 2011 by Q-West Boat Builders for Paul Reinke. The vessel was designed by Teknicraft Design Ltd as a work boat.  This is the second boat that Q-West have built for this client, which is testament to the quality of vessels Q-West build.
