TECT RESCUE

TECT Rescue is a 14.8m search and rescue catamaran constructed for Tauranga Volunteer Coastguard Association Incorporated.  The state-of-the-art craft is equipped with enhanced capabilities for sea rescues, and is larger and swifter than their current vessel.  This is the first vessel constructed for this client.

MAHINA

Mahina is an 18.6m high-speed catamaran constructed as a pleasure craft for a private client.  The vessel has a high-end finish both internally and externally.  This is the first vessel constructed for this client.

TE KAIHŌPARA

Te Kaihōpara was constructed for The University of Auckland.  The primary role of the craft is for research, survey and educational missions, led by the University of Auckland’s Institute of Marine Science, based in Leigh. This is the first vessel constructed for this client.

 

 

WHEKETERE

Wheketere was launched in February 2022 by Q-West Boat Builders for Whale Watch Kaikoura.  The vessel was designed by Teknicraft Design as a passenger catamaran.  This is the seventh boat that Q-West have built for this client.  The vessel is a sister ship to the recently launched Te Ao Marama, both vessels are larger than the rest of the fleet and incorporate new technology; along with grandstands for great passenger viewing and VIP lounges and decks.

TE AO MARAMA

Te Ao Marama was launched in October 2020 by Q-West Boat Builders for Whale Watch Kaikoura. The vessel was designed by Teknicraft Design Ltd as a passenger catamaran.  This is the sixth boat that Q-West have built for this client.  The vessel is not only larger than the rest of the fleet but incorporates new technology; along with a grandstand for greater passenger viewing and a VIP lounge and deck.
